Indications
Indicated for pigs, cattle, sheep, goats, South American camelids, and dogs for the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency, particularly iron-deficiency anemia in piglets. It is used as an adjunct in anemia therapy and in treatments requiring stimulation of hematopoiesis (surgical procedures, infectious diseases, and parasitic diseases). Combined with vitamin B12, cobalt, and copper, it promotes faster and more effective recovery of the animal.
Route of administration
Deep intramuscular injection.
Dose
Piglets:
Preventive: 1 mL between the 3rd and 4th day of age.
Therapeutic: 1 mL, repeated one week after the first treatment.
Cattle: 2–4 mL.
Calves: 1.5–3 mL.
Sheep, goats, and South American camelids: 1–2 mL.
Dogs: 0.5 mL.
The doses are single administrations and should only be repeated according to the recommendations of the attending veterinarian.
