Indications
Indicated for cattle, sheep, goats, South American camelids, horses, dogs, and cats for the treatment of acute and chronic liver disorders caused by infectious and/or parasitic diseases, drug- or feed-related intoxications, and exposure to toxic substances. It is also indicated as a rehydration aid in cases of severe diarrhea (following appropriate electrolyte correction), as an energy restorative during periods of high physical demand such as intensive work, training, racing, parturition, and lactation, and to help animals recover from stress.
Route of administration
Slow intravenous injection.
Dose
Recommended dose: 1–2 mL per kg body weight. As a practical guideline, the following dosage schedule is recommended:
Cattle and horses: 500–1,000 mL.
Calves and foals: 250–500 mL.
Sheep, goats, and South American camelids: 20–100 mL.
Dogs and cats: 10–50 mL.
Administer 2 to 3 times per week in all species, or according to the recommendations of the attending veterinarian.
